Cookie policy

How Oryndo uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience.

Last updated: May 13, 2026

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, mobile) by your browser when you visit a website. It stores information about your visit: preferences, cart, session IDs, etc.

2. Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function. They don't require your consent. They include:

 • oryndo_consent — stores your consent choices (6 months)
 • oryndo-cart — your cart contents (local storage, until cleared)
 • oryndo-account — authentication token if signed in (local storage, until logout)

3. Analytics cookies (consent required)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, visit duration, navigation paths). Data is anonymized (IP truncated) and we don't store any personally identifiable information through this tool. Cookies set: _ga, _ga_*, _gid (lifetime up to 13 months).

You can enable, disable or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

4. Marketing and attribution cookies (consent required)

With your consent, we use cookies to measure ad campaign effectiveness and the origin of your visit:

 • safekid_acq (first-party attribution, 90-day lifetime) — captures UTM parameters, gclid (Google Ads) and fbclid (Meta) to link your visit to a campaign
 • Google Ads (_gcl_au, up to 90 days) and YouTube embed (videos embedded in enhanced privacy mode) — only when you watch a video or click an ad

None of these cookies store personally identifiable information. We do not use the Meta Pixel or any social-network re-targeting cookies.

5. Retention period

Cookies are kept for a maximum of 13 months, in line with recommendations from CAI (Quebec) and CNIL (international reference). You can delete them at any time from your browser.

6. How to manage or disable cookies

You can manage cookies in several ways:

 • Via the consent banner shown on your first visit
 • Via your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) — each browser has its own interface
 • Via industry tools like youronlinechoices.com

Warning: disabling essential cookies may prevent certain features (purchase, login).

7. Your rights

In line with Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us at contact@oryndo.com.
