Privacy policy

To offer the Oryndo service, we only collect data strictly necessary for the watch and the application to function:

• Watch GPS location, accessible only by authorized parents
• Voice messages exchanged between the app and the watch
• Parent account information (name, email, phone)
• Device technical identifiers (IMEI, ICCID)
• Safety alerts (SOS, geofence, low battery)

Your data is used only for the Oryndo app's features. Concretely:

• No targeted advertising
• No marketing profiling
• No resale to third parties
• No sharing with advertisers or data brokers

• Data hosted in Canada
• End-to-end encrypted communications
• Passwords protected per industry standards
• Location history kept for 6 months
• Voice and text messages kept for 1 year
• Alerts (SOS, zones, battery) kept for 2 years
• Photos kept until manually deleted by the user
• Data erased within 30 days after account deletion
• Regular security audits

• SIM partner operator: activation and management of 4G connectivity only
• Mapbox (mapping): anonymous map tiles, no personal data transmitted
• Stripe (payments): credit card information — never stored by Oryndo
• Firebase (push notifications): technical app token, no child-related content
• Authorities: only upon order from a Canadian court

• Access all data collected on your account and your child's
• Request full deletion of the account and all associated data
• Change tracking settings at any time
• Withdraw your consent at any time
• Export your data in a readable format (portability)

• Location: show the watch's position on the map
• Microphone: record voice messages for the watch
• Notifications: SOS alerts, low battery, geofence exits
• Camera: scan the watch's QR code during setup
• Internet: sync with Oryndo services

Oryndo complies with PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, federal) and Quebec's Law 25 (Act to modernize legislative provisions regarding the protection of personal information).
